Negative Social Bandwidth

LoneStarCon was awesome, and I really enjoyed working on it (most of the time, anyways), but damn am I glad that it’s over.

Seriously, I don’t mean to bash on a former committee that I worked on, but good Lord, did it take a lot of time and effort to keep that flow up and it meant that all of the time I could have spent keeping up my own blog and social media presence got vacuumed up.

So now I am exhausted in every way. I’m tired of social media and I’m recovering from being sick because of the con. Not so much on the energy thing right now. Which is not so great, because my life is just about to ramp up again. I don’t know if I’ve made this public yet, but by the end of the year I’ll be married, and by the beginning of next I’ll be living in Japan.

This is super awesome, because hey, how many people can say that at 22 they got to move to Japan? But on the other hand, it means I have to organize a move to Japan. And a wedding. And work. And school. So oh my God, am I exhausted.

LoneStarCon was great, though. The convention itself, I mean. I got to see a number of friends I only see once a year, and some fannish family that I missed dearly.

Now it’s time to watch The Newsroom. Jesus, I missed this show.
